Little Christmas Pretties

Just a couple little Pinterest items I found and worked up over the weekend.   I just love little hand made touches.  I'm finding so much inspiration from the wonderful bloggers "across the pond" like Lucy from Attic24, and Sucrette from Le Monde de Sucrette,  and Vanessa from Coco Rose Diaries.  Hope you all are well and happy today!!!!

It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas!!!

Lots going on these days.  Getting ready for the holidays and trying to find time to work on my Pretty when I can squeeze it in.

And getting the house all decorated.

And my parents got a new baby so we've all been spoiling Dexter.
Isn't he PRECIOUS???!!!???

And here's the yarn for my next project.  Trying to decide if I want to do a ripple or a v-stitch.  Decisions, decisions......

Here's hoping that your holidays are happy and bright!!!!!

Merry Christmas To All!!!!

Lazy Sunday

Hubby is home from a weekend hunting trip, the kids are all doing their own thing, and I'm spending my afternoon working on my pretty.  It's so relaxing while watching TV.  Filling the time until my Colts play tonight.  Hope you are all having a lazy and relaxing Sunday as well!!

My pretty

I had a wonderful day today.  My baby girl got her driver's license. I had a huge audit at work that went very well.  I made myself a Build-A-Bear Santa Claus.  And now I'm enjoying some down time, working on my pretty.  This is just a simple granny stripe using the Attic24 Lucy pack.  I'm making my own stripe sequence, but I do love that Lucy lists her stripe sequences on the blog so that you don't really have to think about it if you don't want to be all creative. Hope you all are having a wonderful day as well!!!

Welcome to my little blog!!

Welcome to my little blog!!!

This is the afghan that inspired me to start blogging about my crochet projects.  So many of my Facebook friends asked me to start teaching classes so I thought I might start a blog with tutorials, patterns, project ideas, and just crochet love.
This afghan is just classic granny squares in 100% cotton with a wide border in browns and creams.  I'll post a better picture of the finished project a little later.  Sometimes I find cotton hard to work with as it tends to feel "stiff" to me.  Of course, my horrible carpal tunnel doesn't help.  But this pretty blanket is SO heavy and SO warm and SO cozy, I will gladly work with cotton in the future.

My current project is a granny stripe using Stylecraft Special DK from Lucy at Attic24 and if you haven't checked out her wonderful blog, you really should!!!  She's a crochet GENIUS!!!!!

Well, I have some cleaning to do before the games start, and I'm sitting entirely too close to my current work in progress.  If I don't get up now, I will set my laptop down and pick up my project and get absolutely NO cleaning done!!!

Lots of Love,

Aunt Lala
